Opening the door to new ways of working. An overview of what is meant by “key
working” from the family viewpoint. There is an emphasis on how services
are received by families, rather than delivered to them. Particular stress
is put on how families are involved in this issue with the recommendations
that such a service should not be imposed, that it would not be suitable
for all families and indeed there may be only specific times when it is most
suitable. Turning the key not only looks at key working but also the role
of the key worker with checklists on the qualities of a key worker, what
a key worker needs and barriers to developing key worker model. Whether people
know what key working is or not, this is a good introduction of how services
can be co-ordinated. DOWNLOAD COVER PDF
